Charley Margosian - Trustee

Charles S. Margosian III (“Charley”) is the Managing Principal of Highland Management Associates, Inc. (“Highland”).  Highland is a real estate developer and owner of 13 retail and office properties throughout the Chicago suburbs (www.highlandmanangement.biz) which was founded in 1985 by Charley’s father, Charles S. Margosian Jr.  At Highland, Charley shares, with his father and the team, in responsibilities for day-to-day property management, new acquisitions and strategic development initiatives.  Notable Lisle Township projects developed by Highland Management include:  North Town Plaza at Washington and Ogden in Naperville, IL (Jewel/Osco, Verizon, Jersey Mike’s and Pella) and Naper Ridge Plaza (Office Depot and 5/3rd Bank at Naper Boulevard and Ridgeland).  Dealing with over 150 tenants in the portfolio and managing in-excess-of 750,000 square feet of real estate in a Class A manner, while also adhering to budgets and being fiscally responsible, shapes the way that Highland Management runs their business.  Prior to joining Highland Management, Charley was a partner at Walton Street Capital LLC in Chicago and an associate at The Blackstone Group in New York, NY.  Throughout his 27-year career in real estate, Charley has been involved with over $2 billion in real estate transactions.

Charley was born in 1976 in Naperville, IL.  Charley attended Naperville North High School where he was active in Varsity Swimming, R.E.A.C.H. and Student Government.  He attended the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, graduating Magna Cum Laude with BS in Finance and Real Estate in 1998.  

In 2007, Charley returned to living in Naperville, together with his wife Emily, he has two daughters (Ani-16 and Katie-13).  Ani attends Naperville Central High School and Katie is an eighth grader at Kennedy Junior High School.  Locally, Charley has served on the Next Gen board of the DuPage Children’s Museum and is currently serving on the Council of Advisors for Naperville’s Riverwalk 2031 Fund.
